How do I know what I need?
Some patients already have a clear idea of the treatment they would like to achieve their dream smile. Other patients have a vision of what they are looking to achieve but don’t know how to achieve it.
At a consultation Emily will check suitability for treatment, discuss your dental history and treatment outcome desires.
Emily will then discuss potential shades that can be achieved with tooth whitening, composite bonding and composite veneers, along with the style of treatment you are interested in. Whether you are looking for a natural composite smile makeover or a hollywood white smile transformation.
Emily will offer to do a demonstration called a ‘mock up’ with composite resin on your teeth to show you potential results you can expect to achieve with treatment. From here Emily tailers a individual treatment plan/quote, including all treatments required to achieve your dream smile. The whole process step by step is then discussed, so you know what to expect and how many appointments are required to achieve your smile makeover.
On average a mini smile makeover including tooth whitening plus composite bonding and/or composite veneers takes around 4 appointments from the consultation to your final review with Emily upon treatment completion. The time scale from start to finish is usually around 8-12 weeks, this allows plenty of time for you to achieve the brightness you are happy with from your home tooth whitening.
Emily encourages patients to be up-to-date with their regular dental checkups and hygiene visits before your consultation. This means you are clinically ready for your cosmetic treatment to start as soon as you’ve had your consultation. However if you do require a dental checkup and/or hygiene visit, Emily can refer you to one of her colleagues.
